Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the subject is to teach students basics of geoinformatics and geoinformation technologies, use them to complete diffrenet tasks, to design adequit data models to portray real world.

Summary

Basic overview of common concepts of geoinformation technologies like geodata, features, object view, field view and process view of real world, data models, data gathering, etc. Attanetions is gaved to individual technologies like GIS, remote sensing, global navigation satellite systems, digital terrain models, etc.
