Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Students will be able to efficiently work with information sources available at the Internet. They will understand functional principles of search engines as well as the priciples of information sources.
Teaching methods
Summary
The aim of the subject is to introduce the listeners to the Internet as to the source of information for study support in various subjects and for the needs of semstral projects. The second aim if to teach listeners how to register and publish their web presentations on the net. Students will be introduced to the basic principles of Internet network, to indexing and search of techniques, including advances querries. Principles of email and other services are also explained. Students should learn how to effectively search, filter and process information from Internet.
