Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

An aim of a course is practise of procedures and methods of data collection by using MGIT, that students met during theirs earlier studies. The student must demonstrate the ability to independently: 1) Prepare a mapping project in accordance with the specified criteria 2) To implement the field work for a specified area 3) To evaluate the results of field work and write a report on the mapping 4) To co-ordinate the process with other students within work group

Summary

The course focuses on practical exercises of proceduress that the learners met in the context of theirs previous studies. The student must meet specified goal of the field work, within the area of interests, with the means of theirs choice and within a specified time.

Compulsory literature:

It is not specified due to subject content. Aids will be provided to students during lessons (GNSS receivers, tablets, computers with installed software in computer labs).

Subject syllabus:

A learners get a defined task and geodata which are nescessary to completet the task. A goal of the learners is to finish task in defined time by using their knowledge. 1) To prepare project - basemap data, mapping project, mapping equipment. 2) To accomplish a field work so that: - all objectives are covered, - all required documentation is created. 3) To process all fieldwork outputs according to defined goal.
