Summary

This subject is introducing basics as well as advanced methods and principles of geovisualization - its history, development and current trends. It is focused on methods of 2D and 3D spatio-temporal geovisualization and their use in GIs with emphasis on Visual Analytics. Another part of the subject is focused on standards and formats for storing of spatio-temporal data.

Subject syllabus:

Osnova přednášek 1) Historie a vývoj geovizualizace. 2) Základní pojmy, rozdělení metod geovizualizace. 3) Metody dvourozměrné a trojrozměrné geovizualizace. 4) Čas a jeho vnímání ve vztahu ke geovizualizaci. 5) Metody dvourozměrné a trojrozměrné geovizualizace časoprostorové geovizualizace. 6) Objektové a parametrické modelování prostředí. 7) Geovizualizace v desktopovém prostředí, v prostředí webu a v mobilních aplikacích. 8) Data pro časoprostorové geovizualizace. 9) Standardy v oblasti geovizualizace. 10) Interaktivita, virtuální realita a rozšířená realita. 11) Etické aspekty geovizualizace. 12) Geovizualizace v praxi. Ukázky projektů, příkladů a případových studií. Znalosti prokazované při ukončení předmětu: Orientace v principech a metodách geovizualizace. Dovednosti prokazované při ukončení předmětu: Schopnost řešit praktické úlohy geovizualizace s využitím získaných teoretických poznatků.
