Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Student demonstrates knowledge: - needed for a correct selection of GNSS device and measurement technique - necessary for identification of risks connected with GNSS mapping - necessary for correct definition of data model for mapped data set - needed for specification of content of individual phases of whole GIS mapping - needed for processing of mapped data and deriving of secondary data according to given task Student is able to: - choose a correct GNSS device and measurement technique for specific mapping - assess difficulty of GNSS mapping, plan, prepare and realize GNSS mapping including data post-processing - operate selected software for GNSS mapping

Teaching methods

Individual consultations
Terrain work
Field data collection

Summary

Subject is focused on practical exercising of GIS mapping with GNSS devices and consequent processing of obtained spatial data. Student has to realize a given complex task.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

During the field exercise, students work in two-member teams and present the progress of their work to the supervisor of the exercise daily. At the end of the exercise, they submit all the required outputs for control.

E-learning

Other requirements

Student must accomplish all goals of given task (study the problematics, prepare and realize mapping, perform analysis above mapped data set, create outputs).
