Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the subject is to educate students principles of remote sensing, methods of digital image processing and obtain adequate skill how to implement these methods.

Electromagnetic radiance, spectrum. Radiometric variables. Radiance sources.
Interaction with environment. Reflectance. Influence of atmosphere. Dispersion, absorption in atmosphere. Land cover - identification and evaluation of objects. Data collection. Radiometer. Mechanical scanner, electronic scanner. Carriers. Satellites and sensors. Principles of digital image processing. Objectives and procedures of remote sensing. Photo interpretation. Radar, lidar, image spectroscopy. Application of RS.
