Summary

Definition and use of models, model types (physical, mathematical - deterministic and stochastic). Numerical methods of finite elements and finite differences. Conceptual models, boundary and inner conditions, initial conditions. Model quality control - sensitivity, calibration, verification. Models based on cellular automata and multi-agent systems.
