Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The objective is to provide a wider context of planning of GIT applications, from company approach, natinal concepts and strategies, to initiatives and approaches of EU. The subject enables to understand planning methods, utilization of modern approaches in project management, importance and utilization of standardization, as well as legal and economic aspects of geoinformation technologies.

Summary
The subject deals with planning of application of geoinformation technologies and their context, influenced manily by legislative framework, technical standards and principles of building spatial information infrastructure. Main planning methods are explained, including Return of investment and Agile methodology such as Scrum. Approaches to description and assesment of costs and benefits of GIT are explained. The subjects also provides introduction to relevant law and technical standards.
