Summary
Main attention is drawn to utilization of modern instrumental methods in
hydrochemistry, above all in water analysis. The subject also deals with
mobile analytics and with data processing.

Subject syllabus:
1st Introduction, overview of instrumental analytical methods.
2nd Inorganic Analysis (abbr. IA), sample collection and preparation for analysis.
3rd Instrumental Methods in IA: Electroanalytical methods (potentiometry,
ISE, pH, polarography), spectroscopic methods (IR, UV / VIS, XRF, ICP, AAS).
4th Instr. method in IA: phase analysis methods (IR, thermogravimetry - X-ray, DTA, DTG)
5th Organic Analysis (abbr. OA), the structure, properties and isolation of organic compounds.
6th Preparatory work for organic analysis. Determination of physical constants.
7th Instrumental Methods in OA: spectral methods: electron spectroscopy (UV, VIS), optical rotary dispersion (ORD), inračervená spectroscopy (IR) and near infrared (NIR).
8th Instrumental methods in OA: nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR).
9th Instrumental Methods in OA: electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), Raman spectroscopy, mass spectroscopy (MS), microwave method.
10th Instrumental Methods in OA: electrochemical methods: polarography, coulometry.
11th Instrumental Methods in OA: Separation methods: Chromatography (GC, LC and others), isotache-, ion-, and electrophoresis.
12th Elemental analysis, survey responses in the OA group.
13th Processing the results of chemical analysis: accuracy and precision characteristics, statistics.
14th Processing the results of chemical analysis: use of commercial software.
