Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the study is to acquaint the students with the basis of the analytical chemistry. They will understand analytical chemistry theoretically and will be able to perform practically classical analytical methods in laboratory.

Teaching methods

Lectures
Individual consultations
Tutorials
Experimental work in labs

Summary

Students will be acquainted with chemical equilibriums, general principles and procedures in chemical analysis, gravimetric and titration methods (acid-base, complexometric, reduction-oxidation and precipitation). All these methods are demonstrated for their practical utilization in more complicated analyses. Theoretical knowledge will be practised in analytical laboratory during individual work.
