- student will know to demonstrate the potential exposure of ecosystem components with industrial technologies operation

Summary
The subject builds on the theoretical basis of science and on the selected specific industrial technologies demonstrates their impact on the environment. Subject submits brief characterization of those productions and shows the current requirements for minimization of these technologies impact on the environment.

Subject syllabus:
• The effect of industry on the environment - historical development, present
• Current requirements for industrial technology
• Principles and technical measures in the industry to reduce releases of pollutants into the individual components of the environment
• Basic principles of integrated pollution prevention and control, technology and BAT reference document BREF
• Surface and underground mining and its impact on the environment
• Waste-management. Mining and waste water. Reclamation (Reclamation) land affected by mining operations to achieve landscape homeostasis
• Thermal and nuclear power, corporate power, and environmental impacts
• Renewable Energy
• Coke, coke plant emissions, carcinogenic nature of these emissions. Origin and purification fenolčpavkových water. Chemical treatment of coke oven products
• Metallurgical enterprise with a closed cycle of production, the impact of technology and operations on the environment. Minimizing emissions of metallurgical plants. Bulky and hazardous waste, advanced wastewater treatment technologies
• Petroleum Industry. Drilling and oil extraction. Emissions and waste water
processing of oil. Emissions from the use of petroleum products. Spent lubricating oil
• Chemical Industry. Emissions and effluents from the chemical industry. Manufacture of basic inorganic and organic products. Manufacture of industrial gases, manufacturing technology of carbon materials
