Summary

The course aims to introduce students to information systems. First, the subject deals with the basic concepts used in the issue of information systems. Subsequently are presented commonly used information systems. Anaesthesia structure of information systems and principles of their functioning. Finally, the presented information systems that serve as a source of data on environmental issues.

Subject syllabus:

1. Introduction, introduction to computer lab equipment, initial training. 2. Information technology, basic concepts used in information systems - data, information, metadata, information systems. Understand the difference between analog and digital data. 3. The history of computers, the structure of computers, hardware, software. Digital data representation - Units of digital information (bit, byte, ...), representation of numbers, characters, character encoding Czech, digital image representation. 4. basic structure of information systems, data models, relational databases, SQL, SQL queries. 5. Geoinformation technologies, their use and history, GPS, remote sensing, GIS. 6. representation of spatial data in GIS - vector and raster data, GIS analysis tools. 7. Mathematical models of spatial phenomena - explanations of concepts physical model, mathematical model, the advantages and disadvantages of mathematical models, the error mathematical models, linking mathematical models with GIS. 8. Information systems in public administration - Public Administration Portal, CSO, etc.., Presentation of information systems and their capabilities. 9. Information systems for EIA and IPPC, presentation of information systems and their capabilities. 10. Air Quality Information Systems (ISKO) and integrated register of polluters (IPR), presentation of information systems and their capabilities. 11. Product and waste registers and information systems on waste, presentation of information systems and their capabilities. 12. Information Systems on the status and quality of water in watercourses and waterbodies presentation of information systems and their capabilities. 13. Information Systems for the protection of nature, landscape and forest information systems and demonstrate their capabilities. 14. Repeating memorized issues, students' questions.
