Apply acquired knowledge of general chemistry of the system of elements. Learning to work with the periodic table - to be able to position the elements in the periodic system to derive its basic chemical and physical properties.

Water.The elements of 18-14-th group.Carbon chemistry.Hydrocarbons.Coal, crude oil,natural gas,fuelling.Silikates.Chemical properties of metal elements, preparation and production of them.The elements of 1-13-th group. Macromolecular matters.Explosives.

Periodicity of properties of elements. Periodic law. Periodic table of the elements. Regularity of force in the periodic table. Basic properties of elements and compounds. General characteristics of metals and nonmetals. Acid-base behavior of oxides. Properties of the most important elements. Properties of s- block elements, p- block elements, d- block elements, f- block elements. Technically important substances and materials. Silicate materials, glass and ceramics. Binders in the construction industry. Coal, oil and natural gas. Industrial gases. Fuels and lubricants. Explosives. Macromolecular substances.
