Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

To master basic terms of the field of atomic structure, chemical bonding, reaction kinetics and thermodynamics. To look for the relationship between element properties and periodicity of electron shell build-up. To apply the adopted knowledge of general chemistry to the periodic system of elements. To learn to use reaction schemes of particular groups for assessment of the preparation possibility of the given element and its compounds.

Bonding possibilities, occurrence, production, application. Significant compounds of metal and non-metal elements. Laboratory
