Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

A better understanding of the relationship between chemical bonding, structure and properties of compounds with special focus on the carbonaceous materials and also other inorganic materials.

Summary

Vazby a stereochemie kovalentních sloučenin. Vazby a struktura pevných kovových a iontových látek. Termické vlastnosti anorganických sloučenin. Termodynamická stabilita oxidačních stavů. Obecné vlastnosti, elektronová konfigurace, vazebné možnosti, typické sloučeniny, příprava, výroba a aplikace uhlíkatých materiálů v technické praxi. Technicky významné křemičitanové materiály. Zvláštní typy vazeb v chemii boru, boridy, borany, boritanová skla. Chemie stopových prvků v uhlí.

Subject syllabus:

1. Structures and stereochemistry of covalent compounds. Links and structure of solid metal and ionic substances. 2. Oxidation, reduction and thermal properties of inorganic compounds. Thermodynamic stability of oxidation states - Frost diagrams. 3. Systematic Inorganic Chemistry nonmetals p-metal elements and p, s, d, f elements according to the different groups. General properties, electron configuration, binding options, typical compounds application in practice. 4. Inorganic chemistry of carbon, carbides. 5. Industrially a significant the reaction of carbon dioxide. 6. Carbon-based nanomaterials intercalates graphite, fullerenes, fullerity, fulleridy, nanotubular carbon. 7. Silicates and aluminosilicates. Technically a significant silicate materials. 8. Special types of bonds in chemistry of boron, borides, boron, borate glass. 9. Chemistry of trace elements in coal. 10. Organometallics s, p, d, f elements.
