Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of this subject is to acquaint the students with the issues of the preparation of the catalysts and photocatalysts. The students will be able to design the methods of the preparation of these materials, describe the principles of their functionality and propose the areas of their applicability.

Summary

Within the present subject the students will obtain the information, knowledge and experience in the field of materials used for preparation of catalysts and photocatalysts. The second part is focused on the technical catalysts used in industry, the requirements on their properties, the technological steps during their preparation and the factors responsible for their deactivation. The third part is focused on nanostructured materials, their classification, methods of their preparation and their utilization in different areas.
