Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

An aim of the subject is to give students the basic knowledge of chemistry and analysis of waters to be applied in current practise.

Teaching methods

Lectures
Individual consultations
Experimental work in labs

Summary

The subject deals with chemical and physical-chemical properties of waters and with the processes which take place in all types of water. The important part of the subject is also description of the individual compound occurrence in water and their determination by analytical methods. The fundamentals of classical and instrumental analytical techniques are given as well.
