Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

An aim of this subject is to give students the fundamental knowledge in analytical chemistry and in types of toxic compounds that could be applied in current laboratory practices and in environment protection

Teaching methods

Lectures
Experimental work in labs

Summary

The subject deals with the fundamentals of analytical chemistry of environmental pollutants. It provides students the fundamentals of the mostly used classical and instrumental analytical methods including sampling and sample handling, basic information about toxic and harmful compounds and their occurrance in environment. The teaching programme consists of lectures and training in the laboratories.
