Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

- Inform about databases substances, structures, phase diagrams, reactions and properties of materials, as well as spectra for identification, - Explain the activities of institutions zybývajících the collection and dissemination of such information (Gmelin, Landolt-Boerstein, Elsevier), - Explain how the chemical, material, and reaction databases built and how they work, -Explain how to use these databases to search for structural regularities and correlations between structure, properties and reactivity in order to predict and develop new materials and technologies, -Explain how to work with literature and databases of bibliographic information, especially in the context of institutions leading products in Computer Science - Chemical Abstracts Service and the Institute for Scientific Information.
