Summary

The review of the key principles of the organic chemistry, modern methods of organic synthesis and organic analysis, as well as extension of the knowledge about the most important groups of organic compounds.

Lectures 1. Introduction into the organic chemistry. Bonding power of carbon. Relation between the structure and the properties of substances. Intermolecular interaction and their influence on the melting temperature, boiling temperature and solubility. 2. Principles of stereochemistry of organic compounds. Drawing organic molecules. Polymerism and isomerism. The conformation of organic compounds. 3. Chemical reactions of organic compounds. Classification of organic reactions. Aliphatic and alicyclic hydrocarbons. The physical and chemical properties of aliphatic and alicyclic hydrocarbons. Resources of hydrocarbons and their application. 4. Unsaturated hydrocarbons. The physical and chemical properties of unsaturated hydrocarbons. Resources of unsaturated hydrocarbons and their industrial application. 5. Aromatic hydrocarbons. The physical and chemical properties of aromatic hydrocarbons. Resources of aromates and their industrial application. Toxicity of polyaromatic compounds. 6. Halogen derivatives. Reactivity, properties and toxikology. Application of halogen derivatives. 7. Nitrogen derivatives of hydrocarbons. Reactivity, properties and toxikology. Synthesis and important reactions. Alkaloids. 8. Sulfur derivatives of hydrocarbons. Physical properties. Synthesis and important reactions. Detergents. 9. Oxygen derivatives of hydrocarbons. Hydroxyderivatives. Ethers. Physical properties, toxikology and their application. 10. Carbonyl compounds. The physical and chemical properties. The application of carbonyl compounds. Organometallic compounds. Substitutional derivatives of carboxylic acids. Reactivity, properties and their application. 13. Functional derivatives of carboxylic acids. Reactivity, properties toxikology and their application. 14. Polymers (types, basic reactions of polymers preparation, overview of technically most important polymers). Theoretical tutorials - Introductory information (schedule of the seminar, the conditions for obtaining credit and recommended literature). Entering of seminar papers. Bonding power of carbon. - Structure, formula, model. Inference of molecular formula, rational formula and structural formula. Determination of isomerism type for given compounds. - Nomenclature of aliphatic, alicyclic and aromatic hydrocarbons. - Nomenclature of heterocyclic and organometallic compounds, halogen derivatives and nitrogen derivates hydrocarbons. - Nomenclature of oxygen derivatives hydrocarbons. - Nomenclature of sulfur derivatives of hydrocarbons. - Presentation of seminar papers.
