Summary

Basic operations in the laboratory – filtration, crystallization, preparation of inorganic compounds. Oxidation-reduction reactions. Precipitation reactions. Displacement of weak acids and bases. Acid-base titration. Gravimetry. Identification of an unknown sample.

• Heterogeneous mixture separation. • Strength of acids and bases. • Precipitation reactions. • Acid-base character of solutions. Neutralization titration. • Electrochemical series of metals. • Determination of the oxygen molar mass. • Oxidation and reduction. • Preparation of insoluble carbonates by precipitation.
