Summary

The subject is focused on improvement and advancement of knowledge about metals (iron and non iron metals - copper, lead, tin, zinc, nickel, alluminium, magnesium) and theirs properties, metallugical raw materials - ores, fuels, auxilliary additives. Hot metal - blast furnace raw materials and process products. Cast iron production. BOF and EAF steel production. Secondary metallurgy processes and steel casting. Economic and environmental aspects of main metallurgical technologies.
