Student will be able to formulate : - basic principle of ironmaking technology - perspectives of of blast furnace process -blast furnace irregularities

Summary

Principles of blast furnace process. Processing, charging and distribution of blast furnace burden. Blowing-in, blowing-out and banking of blast furnace. Irregularities and their control: channeling, scaffolding, scabs, hanging, slips choking of hearth, chilled hearth, burning of tuyeres. Stove operation. Oxygenation and humidification of blast. High top pressure. Technology of auxilliary fuel injection. Tapping of pig iron and slag. Cleaning of blast- furnace gas. Perspectives of blast furnace technology.

Subject syllabus:

Lectures 1. Technological principles of sintering iron ore and pellet production. 2. Proceedings sintering production belt and sinter quality produced. The influence of technology on environmental pollution. 3. Principles of management of of blast furnace technology. 4. Charge technology widthf blast furnace bell and bellles throat. 5. Influence of technological parameters on specific consumption of coke. 6. The injection of gaseous, liquid and solid fuels into the blast furnace. 7. Oxygen enrichment wind and humidification. 8. Method of increasing pressure on production 9. Blast furnace irregularities.Cold, hot and normal operation of blast furnace. 10. Formation of accretions - causes, symptoms, method of removal. 11. Technology of blast furnace stove. 12 Technical economic characteristics of blast furnace work. 13. Quality control of various sorts of pig iron Praktice 1. Introduction, an exercise program, conditions of granting credit, the plan of exkursion 2. Data for individual semester work, basic thermodynamic, kinetic and thermal processes in the oxidation zone of blast furnace 3. The basic calculation of technical-economic characteristics of blast furnace work 4. Excursions: ArcelorMittal a.s. 5. Excursions: Trinec Ironworks as operational exercises 7. Seminar 2 - Reports from excursions, presentations, discussions 8. Productivity of blast furnaces 9. Calculation of temperature and gas composition 10.Evaluation of exercise (award points for a semester of work, presentations, reports from the excursions), the granting of credit.
