Summary

The subject is focused on improvement basic knowledge of coal methods. It deepens and extends knowledge of the coal methods. It compares the strengths and weaknesses of each technology coal methods.

Subject syllabus:

LECTURES 1. Characteristics of the development of coal methods. 2. The importance of changes in raw material provision of the steel industry. 3. Fuels provisions. Complementarity functions fuel. 4. Distribution of coal methods. Basic characteristic coal methods. 5. Possibilities of modeling the kinetics of reduction gas. Submission of exercise for the seminar. 6. Seminar on the coal methods. 7. Description and critical assessment of technologies coal methods. 8. Environmental protection for this processses. 9. Technological principles of the most widespread used technology smelting reduction. 10. Specific features and advantages of the methods of coals. 11. Ecological aspects of coal methods. Practice (only for full-time study form): 1.Introduction, definition of key variables and concept, planning of excursions 2.Individual semestral work and preparing for the presentation 3.Excursion ArcelorMittal Ostrava, a.s., a short report from the excursion 4. Seminar on the coal methods. 5.Calculation of parameter coal methods 6. Semestral work No1 7.Excursion Třinec, a.s., a short report from the excursion 8. Semestral work No2 9.Elaboration of final test 10.Presentation of semestral work 11.Evaluation practice (semestral work, final test) To obtain credit in the combined study form is needed to develop a session project.
