Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

- student will be able to define processes proceeding at molten steel refining - student will be able to explain substance of steel refining in the ladle - student will be able to formulate using possibilities for individual variants of secondary metallurgy

Summary

The subject is focused on theoretical principles of the processes occurring in the refining of molten steel in the ladle refining the essence of technology and equipment ladle metallurgy, as well as steel refining technology inert gases, vacuum refining of steel, steel refining synthetic slag and stainless steel production.

Subject syllabus:

1. Příčiny rozvoje metod sekundární metalurgie. 2. Hlavní postupy mimopecního zpracování oceli a jejich účinky. 3. Prvky, které doprovázejí výrobu a rafinaci oceli. 4. Plyny v oceli – termodynamika, mechanizmus a kinetika rozpouštění H2 a N2. 5. Termodynamika a mechanizmus odplynění oceli. 6. Rozpouštění kyslíku v oceli – termodynamika a mechanizmus. 7. Podmínky flotace vměstků inertním plynem –pohlcování vměstků struskou. 8. Rafinace oceli inertními plyny – účinky – metody provedení. 9. Vakuová rafinace oceli –nukleace plynných bublin –difúze atomů plynu k povrchu. 10. Technologie mimopecního vakuování oceli včetně zařízení. 11. Podmínky výroby nerezavějících ocelí –termodynamika hlubokého oduhličení ocelí s vysokým obsahem chromu – technologie výroby AK ocelí. 12. Rafinace oceli syntetickými struskami – termodynamické podmínky rafinace – mechanizmus a kinetika rafinace – technologie rafinace oceli tekutou a tuhou syntetickou struskou – používané strusky – charakteristika. 13. Pánvové pece – význam při mimopecním zpracování oceli – rozdělení pánvových pecí– možnosti pánvových pecí. 14. Zavádění plněných profilů a hliníkového drátu do oceli – význam, technologie.
