- student will be able to characterise production process in blast furnace
- student will be able to describe steelmaking aggregates and processes in them proceeding
- student will be able to evaluate possibilities of steel casting

Summary
The aim of this subject is clearing fundamental metallurgical aggregates’
relations and structures in field of metallurgical basic industry. According
to actual tend the attention is also paid to automatic machinery,
environmental matters and alternative methods of liquid metal production.
Steelmaking matters are clarified. Survey and development of steelmaking
processes, steel slags, oxidation processes, steel desoxidation,
desulphurisation, steelmaking in converters, open hearts furnaces and electric
furnaces, secondary refining of steel and casting.
