Summary

The subject deals with theoretical and practical aspects connected with machinery and equipment of foundries. Attention is mainly paid to the areas of preparation of raw materials, equipment for preparation of batch mixture, areas of transport, lifting equipment and plants of melting shops. Machinery for the preparation of sand mixtures in moulding boxes and automated moulding lines are presented, as well as machinery and equipment for individual types of casting and a suitable way of the final finish of castings.
