Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

To give students the ability to define processes occurring in the refining of liquid steel, as well as the ability to be able to explain the essence of refining steel in the ladle and formulate options to use each variant secondary metallurgy. Acquired knowledge: - student will be able to define processes during the refining of liquid steel - student will be able to explain the theoretical basis of the process of refining steel in a ladle - student will be able to formulate the possibility of using the various options of secondary metallurgy Acquired skills: - student will be able to use own knowledge to determine the appropriateness of metallurgical processes of refining steel in a ladle - student will be able to apply own theoretical knowledge to draft modifications in technology and metallurgy of steel refining
