Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the subject is to introduce to students the technology of steel production in basic oxygen furnace, in electric arc furnace, the treatment of the steel by methods of secondary metalurgy and the casting of steel by continouous casting technology.

Summary

The subject is focused on theoretical and practical aspects of steel production in basic oxygen furnace or in electrical arc furnace, the atention is also devoted to using of methods of secondary metalurgy and principles of continuously cast steel. The economical and ecologycal aspects are also outlined.
