Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

After passing the laboratory course, students are acquainted themself with standard equipments used in industry, principles of their basic operations and measurements of selected physical quantities (temperature, pressure, weight, volume, flow, density, viscosity, humidity, index of refraction. They have knowledges about results processing and correct laboratory protocols records. They are also well-educated in safety work area.

Teaching methods

Experimental work in labs

Summary

Laboratory course supplements the lessons of process engineering and enables to apply theoretical knowledge obtained at lectures and seminaries during the works with pilot plants unit operations (convection dryer, chamber filter press, plate heat exchanger, absorption tower, plate rectification column, reactor pachuca and sedimentation column). Special education module acquaints with principles of energy production from alternative sources. The subject extends and supplements knowledge and skills obtained during laboratory course which is part of the subject Process Engineering. According to its content and difficulty, the subject Laboratory of Process Engineering is predetermined to magister study program.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
