The aim of the course is to deepen the student's knowledge in the field of chemical thermodynamics, kinetics and dispersion systems with applications to the processes of combustion, explosion and extinguishing.

Subject syllabus:
Thermodynamic and kinetic characteristics of combustion and explosion. Reaction, combustion and explosion heat dependence on temperature, maximum reaction temperature. Steady-state chemical and physical. Properties of combustibles and explosives, their thermochemical characteristics. Oxygen and air for combustion and explosion, oxygen index. The composition of the products of combustion and explosion, thermal effects, pressure and temperature.
Isobaric and isochoric explosion temperature. Specific heat of fire.
The reaction mechanism of combustion and explosion. Theory chain reactions. thermal mechanism adiabatic reaction kinetics. Pressure, temperature and concentration
Explosion limits. Induction period. Suppression of explosion inerting.
Physical characteristics. Diffusion, kinetic, laminar and turbulent flame temperature distribution in the flame. Flame stability.
Combustion of gaseous, liquid and solid substances. Burning disperse systems.
The mechanism of explosive transformations, explosive burning, II.řádu explosion, detonation.
The shock wave formation, propagation. The hydrodynamic theory of detonation.
Physico-chemical principles of fighting. Heat and temperature regime of fire. Extinguishing media and their physico-chemical properties and actions. dilution,
