Students self-evaluate textural parameters of at least three different porous materials, results will be presented in the form of laboratory protocol.

Subject syllabus:
Adsorption methods of study of materials surface under static and dynamic conditions - theory of monolayer and multilayer adsorption, capillary condensation theory and theory of volume filling of micropores including the calculation of the surface. Method of high pressure mercury porosimetry, inverse gas and liquid chromatography, possibility of evaluating texture in terms of fractal geometry. The relationship between textural characteristics and behavior of solids.
