Teaching methods
Summary
The principles of work with the operative systems W NT4, UNIX, 3D parametric
modelling in the CAD-system for engineer: compilation of schemes, fundamental
ways of formation of bodies, addition of further elements into model and
modification of model. Calculation of the mass properties. Exportation of
data
into the form STL. Simulation of feeding of mould with liquid metal and
solidification of casting by means of the MKP-programme SIMTEC; application
of
the geometry of casting at the mould – compilation of a network of elements,
the boundary and initial conditions of calculation, modification of physical
magnitudes, start of calculation, presentation of results – the temperature
fields, the solidification time interval and the cooling-down curves.
