Summary

The subject deals with theoretical and practical aspects connected with machinery and equipment of foundries. Questions related to foundries for art casting are concentrated on. Attention is paid to areas of preparation of raw materials, equipment for batch mixture preparation, transport, lifting equipment and plants of melting shops.Machinery for preparation of sand mixtures and automated forming lines are presented. Machinery and equipment for individual types of casting confirm the complexity of the function of the equipment. Dealing with environmental problems, waste economy and safety at work have become an important part of operation of foundries.
