Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Students will be able / have knowledge of this issue:
1. Technologies of welding, soldering, and gluing methods
2. Creation of welded or soldered or glued joints;
3. Causes of defect formation in welded joints,
4. Stress and deformations forming during welding;
5. Basic problems of welding of particular chosen materials;
6. Methods of joints testing.

The subject is focused on improvement and advancement of knowledge in the next themes:
1.MAG welding of carbon steel, presentation, videoprogram, welding demonstrations, self-testing.
2.MIG welding of aluminium alloys and stainless steel, presentations, self-testing.
3.Welding by method WIG/TIG, welding by electrical resistance-presentation, principles, using, demonstrations, self-testing.
4.Welding by stick electrode, demonstrations, self-testing.
5.Soft soldering of aluminium alloys by zinc-solder,hot-dip coatings, principles, methodes, using - demonstrations, self-testing
6.Welding with cored wire, principle, methods, using, demonstrations, self-testing.
7.Measuring of hardness, destruction testings, principles, using, demonstrations.
8.Welding of plastics, principles, methodes, using, demonstrations.
9.Non-destructive testings by methods VT, MT, PT, UT, RT.
10.Practical demonstrations of welding plastics.
