Summary
This subject is focused on improvement and advancement of knowledge about categorization of vehicles, terminology, basic parts and gears of vehicles and other concepts from the automotive industry.

Subject syllabus:
1. Categorization of vehicles, parts and basic concepts, ECE standards applicable to the approval of vehicles - Laws and regulations, categorization of vehicles, body styles, ECE approval of vehicles in small series.
2. Part of the car - drive system, chassis and bodywork - Requirements for bodies, frames, body materials, bodystyles, aerodynamic stability, coefficient of dynamic resistance, aerodynamics supercar, the division motors - external and internal combustion, basic concepts - Transmission , differential, their types, connectors and their types, the principle function of the clutch, the principle of shifting, shafts, CV joints, transfer case, differential - principles, types of automotive axles, type of automobile wheels, their functions and parts, driving, gear types proceedings steering division, the basic distribution of the braking system.
3. Engines and Components - The breakdown by type of combustion of the mixture, depending on the type of cooling, according to speed, engine block, crankshaft, bearings, connecting rods, pistons, piston rings, cylinder, camshaft - the types, timing diagram, wiring engine solutions and types (OHC DOHC OHV, SV, Desmodromic), part of the valve mechanism, valves, springs, cylinder head, cylinder head gasket, variable valve timing - the types of solutions, the principle, oil pump lubrication system, water pump, thermostat, the cooling circuit of the engine, the flywheel - the types of solutions and principle, turbocharger and involvement, its principle of operation, Blow off valve, the types of solutions control turbocharger boost pressure, air cooled compressors - wiring, principle, basic definitions and units for engines - power, torque, engine capacity, bore, stroke ....

Motors - engines, external combustion engine working phase - PV and TS diagram, internal combustion engine - two stroke, four stroke, rotary, centrifugal, jet engines and turbo-propellers, engines, common rail injection, two-stroke diesel engines, hybrid drives, micro-hybrid, mild hybrid, full hybrid, electric drive.
5. Gear Car - basic terms of gearing, the progress of the transfer of power, purpose gearboxes Variable speed manual transmission, automatic transmission, types of transmission gears, gear ratio - calculating what used ratio, power vesus torque return transfer solutions, efficiency gears, manual transmissions -basic distribution, synchronization systems, transmissions - the types of solutions selector device, locking system, planetary gear, torque converter transmission, hydraulic automatic transmissions, hydraulic automatic transmission with electronic control, ASG, variable speed gearboxes, variable speed gearbox DSG.

Creation of a mixture - the carburettor and the types of carburetors, the principle carburetor, electronic fuel injection systems, multipoint fuel injection, central, direct injection, MonoMotronic, electronic ignition, capturing operational data MonoMotronic, injectors, pumps, creating a mixture of diesel engines -Direct fuel injection - possible solutions (chamber and directly into the cylinder), the advantages and disadvantages of direct injection. Diesel injection systems, types of injection pumps, common rail, Common Rail - piezo-inline injectors, pump systems - management - nozzle system pump - nozzle.

Automotive Axles - basic concepts - wheelbase - gauge - height - overhang ..., axle components, bushings, ball joints, saving axle stabilizers, shock absorbers, springs, shock absorbers linkage, spring stiffness - calculation, working diagram springs, suspension function, axle MC Pherson, Keystone correction, Keystone correction of the plate, swing axle, crank axle, crank axle coupled, multi-link axle, axle De Dion, Panhard rod, Watt's linkage, beam axle, air suspension, hydropneumatic suspension, the basic concepts of geometry axles - diversion , caster angle, toe.

Intake and exhaust system - intake system, air filter, intercooler, long and short intake duct - principles length change and its effect on the torque and power of the engine, exhaust system and its parts, exhaust manifolds, silencers, diesel particulate filter, catalyst and its principle, lambda probe - principle of operation, secondary air, EGR valve, turbocharged - Roots, turbocharger, compressor.

Car Brakes and brake systems - brake system - part of the base distribution, types of solutions circuit brake system, brake, brake cup, brake master cylinder, brake tubes and hoses, brake calipers, brake vacuum booster - operating principle, the brake force regulator , disc brakes, brake calipers - the types of solutions, brake pads, brake discs, drum brakes, hydraulic brake cylinder, samostav brakes, brake systems disorders, Brzové assistance systems.

11. geometry axle car - solving problems and identifying them, Camber, toe angle, caster angle - caster alignment procedure using an 8-channel laser geometry. Systems alignment. Draft geometry of the vehicle - inputs for the computer program.
12. An active and passive safety of motor vehicles - crumple zones, Aibagy, seat belts, car seats, anchorages and seat belts and their testing, assistance systems, adaptive systems, parking assistant, cruise control, adaptive headlamps, blind spot mirror control, monitoring systems.
