Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

- student will be able to characterise the mechanical properties of control principles castings (non-destructive testing, material structure, defectoscopy) - students will be able to identify of casting defects (the distribution and the classification) and will know the principles of prevention - the student will be able to quality management systems - the student will be able to use methods of statistical analysis, interpretation of results (control charts) - students will be able to understand the physical and chemical interactions of the fluid phase with mould and their impact on the quality of castings.

Summary

The subject is focused on quality control of production, acquaints students with the terminology and classification of casting defects by Czech and international standards. In the course are described the basic types of casting defects, performed the analysis of physical-chemical causes of their emergence, with an emphasis on preventiv. The intention is to show the wider relationship between technology and the emergence of casting defects.
