flowing, pressure conditions in gatings. The running property of liquid metals
and alloys and their coherence with the design of castings. The thermal and
physical processes in a casting and in a mould. Interaction between casting
and mould. Crystallization and solidification of castings. The thermodynamic
conditions of crystallization. Shrinkage and drawing-off metals and alloys,
the solidifying and solid state. Segregation-liquation in castings, the
chemical non-homogeneity of castings. Stress in a casting, shrinking stress,
internal thermal stress, phase stress, elastic and plastic state of material.
The physical conditions of initiation of fissures and cracks in castings.
Application of the acoustic emission on the state of stress at solidification,
at cooling-down and at heat treatment of a casting. The computer’s simulation
of solidification and of stress in a casting.
