Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquire key theoretical knowledge in the field of industrial and automotive design, which the student will be able to apply in practice when designing his own project. The experience gained can help him anticipate the future development of the design. Students should understand how the design and history of humanity interact with each other.

Summary

The course is focuses on the history of automobile design and its historical setting within the design. Emphasis is placed on the historical context and the relationship between design and industrial creation. It focuses on products and creative personalities that have most influenced the design direction but also the history of all mankind.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

1x40 points - seminar work 1x60 points - oral exam Mode of completion of the subject - oral exam. It consists of identifying and interpreting selected examples from the history of automotive and industrial design according to projected images based on an oral interview.
