Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

During their studies, students will deepen their knowledge of SolidWorks software and learn the principles of 3D object modeling and drawing documentation. - Get acquainted with the main operations for creating 3D objects. - They will get acquainted with parametric modeling according to the drawing documentation. - Get acquainted with basic and advanced operations in creating functional assemblies. - They will get acquainted with the basics of mechanical analysis. - Acquire the process of creating drawing documentation.

Summary

Students in this course will follow up on the course Introduction to Graphic Systems, in which they gained a basic awareness of the process of 3D modeling, assembly and drawing documentation. In this course, students will learn the product design process from design, through mathematical analysis of the part, to the creation of production documentation.

Subject syllabus:

1. Repetition of basic operations in SolidWorks. 2. Advanced modeling processes in creating solid components. 3. Parametric modeling of components. 4. Introduction to modeling of planar bodies. 5. Advanced operations in creating functional assemblies. 6. Design and evaluation of FEM analysis 7. Creation of production documentation and assembly drawing (work with layers, user description field, drawing of complex parts, BOM).
