Summary

Introduction. Principles of physical and mathematical simulation of forming processes. Mathematical training (stress, strain, mechanical principles, elasticity, plasticity). Analysis and technology in metal forming (forging, rolling, extrusion, drawing). Termomechanical principles of continuum (heat, basic equation of heat transfer) Tribology and boundary conditions (BC) of flat rolling. Evolution of microstructure and mechanical properties of final product. Introduction to Finite element method (FEM) (variational formulation, creation of final elements meshes, basis function, construction of stiffness matrix, 1D problem of heat transfer and elasticity, 1. 2. and 3. kind of BC) Estimation of forming parameters – inverse analysis (philosophy, optimization techniques).
