Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Student will know how to study and mathematically describe the aspects of deformation behaviour of metallic materials at hot and cold bulk forming. Student will be able to apply this knowledge at improving formability and using the structure potential of formed materials.

Subject provides comprehensive theoretical knowledge about the materiál-based and thermo-mechanical factors influencing formability of metallica materials. Attention is paid especially to the physical methods of testing the hot formability.

Subject syllabus:
Complex research of hot formability - methodology.
Laboratory study of deformation behaviour and structure-forming processes at forming - Gleeble simulator, torsion plastometer, laboratory simulation rolling.
Influence of basic parameters on formability (chemical composition, state of structure, thermomechanical parameters, state of stresses).
Mathematical description of hardening and temperature-dependent processes.
