Student will be well informed in principles, systems and concepts used for the logistics management of industrial enterprises and supply chains, will be able to analyse, evaluate, design, and improve logistics processes of industrial companies.

• Logistics management, definition, goals, principles, main and supporting logistics activities. • Supply chain management, definition, goals, principles, trends. • Sustainable logistics management and supply chain management, leanness, agility, resilience, greenness. • Logistics management of industrial companies and supply chains, definition, development in the Czech Republic and around the world. • Purchase logistics management, purchasing processes in an industrial company, supplier evaluation and selection. • Inventory control, modern methods and tools for inventory analysis and control in an industrial company.. • Production logistics management, leading logistics systems and concepts in production, MRP/ERP systems, lean/JIT concepts, Theory of Constraints systems. • Distribution logistics management in the area of industrial markets, used systems and concepts, distribution a logistics centres. • Warehousing management,, warehouse activities and technologies, warehouse planning and design, modern warehouse systems. • Material handling and packaging, handling units and equipment, logistics functions and types of packages, automatized handling systems. • Transportation, intelligent transport technologies, company transport, logistics service providers. • Modern information systems and technologies for supporting logistics activities, automated identification systems, Industry 4.0 project. • Utilisation of quantitative decision making methods for analysis, design and improvement of logistics processes and systems.
