Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will be able to: - Formulate basic principles of economic diagnosis. - Analyse resources for the economic analysis of industrial enterprise. - Describe the economic specifics of industrial enterprise. - Demonstrate knowledge of specific methods of the economic analysis of industrial enterprise and the valuation of the industrial enterprise. - Analyse economic data that can define the possibilities of effective development of industrial enterprise and identify economic problems in the company. - Describe the possibilities of developing an industrial enterprise corresponding to the concepts of sustainable development, circular economy, Industry 4.0 and other developmental concepts in line with the strategic development of the Czech Republic and the EU.

Summary

Students will learn how to analyse economic processes in an enterprise by means of diagnostic thinking. They will be familiar with the problems of specific problems in industry, history of idnustry development in the Czech Republic, development of industrial zones and brownfields. They will learn to respond to the fundamental changes and development trends taking place in the Czech Republic and the world. They will also learn how to tackle the crisis of the business and redirect it to prosperity and how to tackle the business crisis.

1. The analysis of economic processes in an industrial enterprise, diagnostic thinking - part of the systemic, value, competitive, crisis and potential thinking, analogy with medicine. 2. Tools and methods of corporate diagnostics in an industrial enterprise. 3. Economic diagnostics as part of the company diagnostics. 4. Strategic analysis of an industrial enterprise. 5. Information for the economic diagnostics of an industrial enterprise. 6. Analysis of the financial statements of an industrial enterprise. 7. The financial health of an industrial company - financial analysis. 8. Analysis of the financial structure of an industrial enterprise. 9. Optimal structure of the corporate capital of an industrial enterprise. 10. Creditworthiness of an industrial company and mapping potential. 11. Analysis of problematic areas in an industrial enterprise, crisis development in the enterprise. 12. Analysis of the threat of insolvency and bankruptcy. 13. Valuation of an industrial enterprise property, valuation philosophy, methods and procedures. 14. Valuation of an industrial enterprise, methods and procedures. 15. The issue of industrial brownfields, development trends in industry.
