Teaching methods

Summary

Structure of energy sources in Czech Republic and in the world. Principal properties of fuels. Principles of burning. Chemical kinetics of burning. Physical conditions affecting burning reactions. Burning of gaseous fuels. Flame, structure and aerodynamics, shape, length and properties of flame. Burning of liquid fuels. Conditions of atomisation, vaporisation and burning of fuel drop, thermal dissociation. Burning of solid fuels. Burners, classification, basic types and their properties. Heating systems and their application. Environmental aspects of combustion processes.

Subject syllabus:

Historie, současnost a perspektivy využívání a těžby paliv. Základní vlastnosti paliv. Základy teorie hoření. Chemická kinetika hoření, základní principy, vliv teploty, koncentrace a tlaku na rychlost reakce. Řetězové reakce. Fyzikální děje a vlastnosti ovlivňující reakce hoření. Podmínky vznícení a hoření plynné směsi. Stabilizace fronty v laminátním a turbulentním proudu. Plamen, struktura a aerodynamika, tvar, délka a vlastnosti plamene. Bezplamenné hoření. Hoření tuhých a kapalných paliv. Hořáky. Klasifikace, základní typy, vlastnosti. Topné systémy.
