Teaching methods

Summary

Energy sources and transformations. Fuels, fuel combustion. Heat transfer in the operating furnaces area. Application of the heat transfer solution in the operating areas of the melting, heating, heat - treatment, drying furnaces. Heat exchangers. Refractory materials for furnace linings. Types of metallurgical furnaces and their characteristics. Energy consumption analysis. Secondary energy sources in the metallurgical plants. Energy devices in the metallurgical plants. Energy balances.

Subject syllabus:

Energetická situace ve světě a u nás. Zdroje energie. Paliva. Spalování paliv, kontrola spalování, spalné teploty. Sdílení tepla v pracovním prostoru pecí. Vnější a vnitřní přestup tepla. Ohřev tenkých a tlustých těles. Hutnické pece tavicí, ohřívací, pro tepelné zpracování, vč. stavebních a konstrukčních prvků. Výměníky tepla, tepelný a hydraulický výpočet. Druhotné energetické zdroje. Energetické a tepelné bilance.
