Summary
Density, bulk density, water absorption, porosity. Mechanical properties of
ceramic materials. Compression strength, strength in tension, flexural strength, Youngs modulus.
Microhardness. Non-destructive testing methods and detection of defects. Heat
properties of ceramics. Part of the course is an excursion into a ceramic laboratory.
