Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Student will be able to describe homologation requirements for traffic on communication over land both in Czech Republic and European Union and will acquire skills at practical implementation of adequate tests for assessment according Technical control stations requirements.

Summary

Subjekt is focused on acquiring of elementary knowledge about car traffic on communications over land within the frame of Czech Republic and EU states. . It is a purpose to show Technical control station operation in practice and experienced classification of automotive engines primary characteristics for rideability in road traffic incl. making the acquaintance of essential legislation

Subject syllabus:

Constitutive lawmaking – laws and ordinances of Ministry of transportation and communication and Ministry of environment. Technical and legal procedures in the course of vehicles approval for communications over land. Conditions for vehicle registration. Instructions for Vehicle Testing Stations. Testing Stations-printout reports about car inspection, decision on technical qualification. Emission Measuring Stations SME, TUV, UVMV. Emission limits for mobile pollution sources (EURO 3,4,5). EU Transport policy. Sustainable transport. Promotion of energy-efficient and less polluting vehicles. Promoting efficient and sustainable transport systems. Protection of environmentally sensitive areas. Promoting sustainable urban transport. Reduce the impact of aircraft and ships on the environment. Development and introduction of means of transport which meet the standards set by the competent international bodies. Creating noise barriers. Gradual shift of passenger and freight transport onto rail transport. Alternative types of fuel, etc.
