The aim of subject is a general overview in the field of ceramic materials in the range: - summary of basic raw materials for the manufacture of ceramic materials - the most common production technology of ceramic materials, - basic dividing of ceramic products, - basic properties of ceramic materials - application of ceramic materials.

Summary

Basic characteristic of ceramic materials, raw materials base for its production. Definition, description, properties and dividing of ceramic mass. Production of ceramics materials, definition fundamental manufacturing processes. Use of ceramic materials in practice.

Subject syllabus:

Charakteristika a rozsah oboru, základní látky a systémy. Technologie výroby průmyslových skel, jejich vlastnosti a využití. Technologické principy výroby keramiky (příprava surovinových směsí, tvarování, sušení, výpal). Keramika na bázi jílových surovin, oxidová a neoxidová keramika. Hlavní typy žárovzdorných materiálů, výroba, vlastnosti použití. Anorganická (stavební) pojiva (sádra, vápno, cementy), jejich aplikace ve výrobě stavebních hmot. Využití druhotných surovin.
