- to define the concept of thermal comfort - to know the effects of factors on the thermal comfort - to categorize the effects on the purity of the air - to understand meteorological and climatic conditions for heating - to understand the moist air, moisture measurement, calculation of enthalpy - be familiar with the use of diagram of wet air - to categorize types of heating systems - to categorize the heating sources - to determine the thermal losses of buildings - to characterize the local and central heating"

Summary

The subject teaches students to understand the issue of thermal comfort, processes and factors affecting it, the principle of meteorological influences on the design of the heating system. Students will learn to calculate wet air, use the diagram of the wet air for the calculation of the heating of moist air, cooling, mixing, and air damping. Students get acquainted with the basic types of heat sources and fuel systems. Students learn the principles of calculation heat losses of buildings.

Subject syllabus:

Physiological and health policy of heating and ventilation. The issue of human thermal comfort. The resulting temperature and its measurement. The purity of the air and its evaluation. Meteorological and climatic conditions for heating and ventilation. Humidity of the air, the determination of the enthalpy. Diagram of moist air. Thermal losses of buildings. Sources of heat. Types of heating systems. District heating.
